Other Dutch lessons:

Are you not (yet) able to follow an integration course? In Nijmegen there are various organisations and language schools where you can follow Dutch lessons, which are not specifically for an integration programme.

AZC Nijmegen:

All asylum seekers can follow the training ‘Basic Dutch’ (Basaal Nederlands) at AZC Nijmegen. You will learn basic words and phrases there. Very practical if you go to the shop or have to go to the doctor. A volunteer will teach you twice a week for 2 hours, for a minimum of 8 weeks. Want to learn even more? Then you can continue with these lessons.

Gezellig:

Sometimes you can enjoy Dutch lessons at meeting centre Gezellig. For more information please contact Gezellig.

Huis van Compassie:

Are you a refugee? And haven’t your integration lessons at the language school started yet? Or are you not entitled to integration lessons? Then you can follow Dutch lessons in a small group at Huis van Compassie.

For more information > mail: post@huisvancompassienijmegen.nl or call: 06 – 27 27 47 89

Address: Vlietstraat 20b

ROC Nijmegen:

Are you no longer subject to the integration requirement? Then you can learn Dutch in various courses at ROC Nijmegen:

  • Literacy in Dutch as a second language
  • Dutch for beginners
  • Dutch for advanced students

Have you passed your integration exam (according to the old integration act of 2013) and would you like to continue learning Dutch? For example, to find another job or to do a study programme? With the following course you increase your chances:

  • State exam Dutch as a second language (Programme I and Program II).

For some residents of Nijmegen, the municipality pays for the course at ROC Nijmegen. Then you only pay the personal contribution of € 45.00. Do you pay for the training yourself? Then the costs are € 14.50 per hour. This amount includes all costs for books, intake and guidance.

For more information > call: 024 – 890 40 24 (Team Education for Adults of the ROC Nijmegen), (Monday – Thursday: 9:00 -16:00 hrs.

STEP | Support Centre for Language Education and Participation:

Do you want to participate in Dutch society? At STEP you can learn the Dutch language and other skills in the following courses:

  • Language class
  • Speaking class
  • Writing class

You will be taught at your own pace and at your level. There are no waiting lists and the costs of a course are low. You learn the Dutch language even better in practice. That is why you can do a language internship (taalstage) or voluntary work via STEP. During the language course you will also receive information on topics such as health, money and education.

For more information > mail: info@stepnijmegen.nl or call: 024 – 323 32 35

Other language schools:

Are you looking for a language school in Nijmegen for integration lessons or other lessons to improve your Dutch? And do you not have a DUO loan? Then you can also go to one of the following schools. For more information on the course and the costs > check the website of the language school:
