Civic Integration in AZC Nijmegen:
Are you an asylum seeker with a favorable asylum application?
Then you can take Dutch lessons for asylum seekers in AZC Nijmegen. In total, you will receive 24 hours of lessons from a certified teacher: 6 hours per week, over approximately 4 weeks. If you receive a residence permit, you can continue with the programme ‘Voorinburgering’.
Are you a status holder and do you live in AZC Nijmegen?
Then you can already start preparing for your civic integration in the Netherlands (Voorinburgering) in AZC Nijmegen. This way you will feel at home in the Netherlands more quickly and be able to participate as soon as possible.
Voorinburgering:
- The programme ‘Voorinburgering’ is organised by COA.
- You will receive Dutch lessons, 115 hours in total from a certified teacher.
- You will learn about Dutch society and the labor market.
- In addition, you will talk with your case manager from COA about your integration and plans for the future. You will also talk about your education(s), work experience, and other useful experiences that you can use in the Netherlands for (voluntary) work.
- All information will be included in your file. Are you moving out of the AZC? Then COA will provide this file to the municipality where you will live. You will then continue your integration there.
